Members of London Futurists are welcome to exchange news and ideas in our WhatsApp community.
That community consists of a number of different groups, described below.
Participation in that community is subject to agreement to these rules:
- Be kind and helpful
- Avoid spam or commercial promotions
- Avoid scorn, contempt, sarcasm, insult, or abuse
- Debate ideas, rather than questioning personal motivation or character
- If a conversation is running fast, take some time out to let it cool down
- Respect the difference between groups that encourage longer conversations and those which are designed for shorter posts
- Respect limits on the number of posts per day per member in groups where such a limit applies
- Do not share direct invites to the community; instead, direct interested people to apply to join by filling in a supplied Google Form
You can apply to join the WhatsApp community by completing this Google Form (use of a Google email is not required).
- Volunteer moderators will review your application
- If approved, you will receive a WhatsApp invitation to join the community
- Once you’re in the community, you’ll be able to find and join as many of the groups below that match your own interests
- We look forward to exchanging ideas about the future with you!

London Futurists Events
To share information about events organised by London Futurists or likely to interest our community members. Not for ongoing discussion. Use the Conversations group for any potentially extended responses.
London Futurists Conversations
For potentially extended conversations and longer posts that respond to ideas or information shared in other groups where brevity is a requirement.
London Futurists Intros
All members of the London Futurists community on WhatsApp are encouraged to make a short post about themselves linking to their LinkedIn profile or other personal site. That’s so we can have more trust that we know who we’re talking to.
The future of ethics
For discussion of proposed new ethical frameworks, including those in the article The Vital Foundation.
Other groups
Other groups may be created depending on the evolving and emerging needs of the community. Check back on this page from time to time – or keep an eye on the Announcements group.
